Remy Ma is speaking out about her time behind bars. “I Wouldn’t Wish This On My Worst Enemy,” the rapper said she spends a lot of time thinking about her past while in jail. Remy called prison, quote, “super aggravating,” noting she can’t do simple things like eat, shower, or use the phone when she wants. She also discussed being asked to talk to young kids about the hazards of prison life. But Remy said she’s still thinking it over, adding that she feels, quote, “it’ll be more of the kids wanting to see Remy Ma the rapper and because of that they won’t get that I’m actually in jail.” She closed the message with the line “forever innocent.” Remy Ma was sentenced to eight years behind bars in March 2008 for shooting Makeda Barnes-Joseph in July 2007. Prosecutors said the incident took place after Remy accused Barnes-Joseph of stealing thousands of dollars. But Remy contended the gun accidentally went off during a struggle. She filed an appeal back in November 2008
